different yarn forming and twisting processes produce different yarn structures and different product characteristics.
1 a strong

to compare the hairiness of different spinning methods. compared with traditional ring spun yarns, the harmful hairiness (>3mm) of non-traditional spun yarns is significantly reduced, among which the compact yarns are reduced by about 80%, the air-jet yarns by about 85%, and the eddy spun yarns by more than 90%. therefore, the new yarns have good post-processing characteristics. because the new yarn structure makes the yarn surface more stable, the amount of hairiness increase after processing is significantly lower than that of traditional yarn. especially as warp yarn, sizing can save about 50% of sizing material, greatly improve loom efficiency and reduce weaving cost. it has been reported that the cost of weaving new yarn in the united states can be reduced by 2.4 dollars per 100 meters of cloth, and the flying flower can be reduced by 72%.
3 wear resistance
the wear resistance of yarn is closely related to its structure
because most of the fibers in traditional ring spun yarn are in spiral shape, when repeatedly rubbing, the spiral fibers gradually become axial fibers, the yarn is easy to lose twist and disassemble and quickly wear out, so the wear resistance is poor.
non-traditional spinning has obvious advantage in resistance to wear, rotor yarn, jet yarn and vortex yarn consists of two parts, outsourcing core yarn and fiber, yarn surface with irregular wrapping fibre, yarn is not easy to collapse, at the same time, the yarn surface friction coefficient is big, between the yarn in the fabric and yarn as well is good, not easy to produce relative sliding, so the wear resistance improved.
compared with ring spun yarns, the fibers of tightly spun yarns are arranged in a neat and straight way, and the yarn structure is tight, so that the fibers are not easy to be separated. therefore, the yarns have good wear resistance.
4 twist potential
twisting potential is also an important property of yarn and determines some properties of the fabric, such as the slant of the knitted fabric.
the traditional ring spun yarn and compact spun yarn are of true twist, with high twist potential and easy to produce slant and hem of knitted fabric. sometimes, parallel thread is needed to make up for it.
the yarn forming structure of rotor yarn, air jet yarn and eddy current yarn determines its low twisting potential. there are both z twist and s twist in rotor yarn, so the twist potential is low. due to the high proportion of parallel fibers in air-jet yarn, the twisting force is small, and it also has good post-processing characteristics.
5 resistance to pilling
vortex yarn knitted fabric has good abrasion resistance and high pilling resistance. this is because the middle of the eddy current yarn is a straight core yarn, the outer layer is covered with winding fiber, the fiber orientation is obvious, the yarn friction coefficient is large, the friction between the yarn and the yarn inside the fabric is good, not easy to produce relative slip, wear resistance is improved, in addition, pilling and yarn hairiness is closely related. through testing pilling test, it can be seen that: swirl yarn fabric grade 4 ~ 4.5, air-jet yarn grade 4, traditional ring ingot yarn grade 2, rotary cup yarn grade 2 ~ 3, compact spinning grade 3 ~ 4.
