china is a major country in the production and application of chemical fiber in the world. in 2016, the total production of chemical fiber reached 49.44 million tons, accounting for 69.4% of the total global chemical fiber, and the total processing of textile fiber reached 54.2 million tons, of which chemical fiber accounted for 84.23%, taking the leading position. with the rapid development of the industry and the rapid increase of consumption, the disposal of waste chemical fiber textiles also comes along. it is estimated that by the end of the 13th five-year plan period, china's waste chemical fiber textile production can reach nearly 200 million tons, but china's textile recycling rate is less than 10%, compared with developed countries, there is a significant gap.
waste chemical fiber textiles are treated as waste for simple disposal such as landfill or incineration, which not only seriously pollutes the environment, but also causes great waste of resources. seeking for recycling has become an urgent need for the development of china's textile industry.
according to chinese academy of engineering shi-cheng jiang, in order to promote the benign development of industry of our country chemical fiber regeneration and comprehensive upgrade, the chinese academy of engineering in 2017 to set up the "waste resource recycling technology development strategy research, chemical fiber textiles" consulting project, led by member of textile fields, relying on the donghua university, and invite the experts in related academics, representative enterprises such as more than 40 people involved in the research. it took more than a year to form the research report and the suggestions of academicians.
"chemical fiber recycling is an important direction of chemical fiber industry in the new era." hua-ping wang project's secretary-general said that in the next 10 years, with "zero dumped, clean and low carbon, high efficient high-quality value" as the guide, with major project of science and technology as the gripper, to "administration, production, study and research, with" independent innovation system construction as the support, to establish scientific research and national textile recycling engineering technology development platform, make our country of polyester, polyamide, polypropylene, pps key chemical fiber varieties such as recycling technology and the innovation ability among the world's highest.
